What Matt's Students Have to Say
Actual testimonials from online, classroom, and field workshop students.
As someone new to photography, Matt was exceptional at cultivating my novice level while educating the group at a comprehensive level in the photography field. He worked relentlessly to provide us the knowledge necessary and incessantly positioned us in superlative places for stunning scenic and wildlife pictures. Matt has extraordinary talent in the realm of photography, however, he is equally as impressive with his teaching and relational skills with his students.Mike Parsons
Thank you very much for a great workshop. I learned and practiced more things in this workshop than in all the others I have taken.Frank Croft
I found Matt’s one on one tutorial session was a perfect format for me to learn HDR. Matt’s warm and personal approach immediately put me at ease. Matt perfectly sized my skill level and personalized the pace so the information flow maximized my absorption of the subject I was able to interrupt and ask questions whenever I needed without concerns of interrupting a class. This really accentuated my climbing of the learning curve. Matt is a skilled teacher and made it “All about ME”. In two hours time Matt led me from neophyte to knowledgable user. I can’t imagine a more efficient way to enhance my photographic skills. The followup recording of our session provided positive reinforcement solidifying my new found expertise. I consider it a true value and a hyper efficient methodology for skill transfer. I will be using Matt’s skills as an expert teacher again. I look forward to our next session.Jay McDonald
This was the class I was looking for. I had been using Perfect Photo for about a year and had watched some of the video presentations but did not really have the feel I wanted for the program. I had been searching for several months for someone to teach a face-to-face class and finally came upon Matt after seeing a link through on1’s emails. This was a crash course but it was perfect. Great explanations and demonstrations with plenty of time to ask questions and receive one-on-one time when needed. Matt’s experience as photographers and users of the software was very evident. It’s nice to have someone who actually uses a program in real life situations instead of a company representative. After sitting through this class, I can now start to do more with my photos and use Matt’s and on1’s videos as refreshers to the class. I now have a better understanding of the capabilities of the program and what I want to do or need to do with my photos.Richard Hart Tampa, FL
F.A.Q's Regarding Matt's Mastering Aurora HDR 2018 Online Course
Will I get access to the entire course today following payment?
VIDEO PRODUCTION SCHEDULE: I will have some content up between now and October 31. I will then be traveling for 2 weeks and will be finishing the course upon my return with a goal of having it completed by the end of November (so I can then start work on my Mastering Luminar 2018 Online Course).
Can I just wait to order once the course is finished?
Sure thing! Just contact me and I will let you know once it is complete. However the 40% discount only applies to orders taken during pre-order and won’t be available once the course is finished.
Why not just release the entire course at once instead of doing it this way?
With over 80 videos planned and hours and hours to watch (my Mastering Aurora HDR 2017 Course had over 5 hours of content – this course will most likely have more) this gives those who desire a head start to start watching and learning right away.
Is the course guaranteed to be finished by the end of November?
That is my plan, baring any unforeseen production problems as I need to get this course finished to start working on my upcoming Mastering Luminar 2018 Online Course 🙂
Besides the savings and early access to some of the videos, what other benefits are there to pre-ordering?
You will also get immediate access to my students-only forum on my website dedicated to this course for you to ask questions and meet and learn from other students. I am exploring other ideas/benefits too for “early adopters”.
If I order the Streaming Only version, can I upgrade to the Downloadable version in the future?
Sure thing! Just contact me and I will upgrade you at a cost of the current price difference between the 2 versions at the time of your order.
I already own your Mastering Aurora HDR 2017 course. Is this course a free update to that one?
No it’s not. My Mastering Aurora HDR 2018 course will be completely re-recorded with more videos and some different content compared to my 2017 course. The videos are based on my latest techniques for shooting and processing HDR photos with Aurora HDR.
Students of my 2017 course can get my 2018 course at a special Aurora HDR alumni discount of 55% for a limited time. If you didn’t receive my email explaining how to purchase it at that special price contact me.
Can I see a list of the videos for your 2018 course so I can compare those to the 2017 course I have?
Sure thing! On this page I have a list of videos planned for this course (with a few more to be added to this list once I get closer to finishing recording). You will notice over 30 new videos compared to my 2017 course. And other videos that may appear similar have been re-recorded to reflect changes made to the program. For example algorithms for many sliders have been enhanced and these new videos will reflect those changes showing you how to make better use of them.
Can I watch these on my phone, tablet, etc?
You should be able to stream them on any device. If you have the Downloadable version, you can download them to your iPhone or iPad (probably other phones/tablets too – I am only familiar with Apple products). First you would download the video files in zip format, then when you extract the zip, you will have mp4 video files that you would transfer to your device via iTunes.
I have the Windows version of Aurora HDR 2018. Is this course still for me?
All videos are recorded on a Mac. There are currently still some differences of feature availability between the 2 programs and I will have videos discussing those differences. Other than those currently missing features, the program pretty much looks and runs the same between the 2 platforms so Windows users will have no problem following along and learning from this course.
